The goals for which the data is collected
We only collect personal data necessary for legitimate purposes.
When you order something from us, we need the following information from you in order to process your purchase in our administration.
- First name + Last name
- Address
We ask your name and address details to handle your order. This information will be on your invoice and we also need this to deliver your order to you. As soon as our system has created an invoice, you can no longer adjust this.
- E-mail address
We need your e-mail address to email your order status. You will receive the following e-mails when you order something from us: Order Confirmation, Invoice and Shipment Confirmation. We will not use your e-mail address to send you unsolicited newsletters, unless you have explicitly asked for them.
- Phone number
Your phone number will only be used if we need to clarify your order and / or answer your question.
- Order content
In order to deliver the right products, we need to know what you have ordered.
- Payment and invoice details
We use a secure payment environment. All our payment methods are carried out by a reliable payment provider Sisow. Sisow can tell us if a payment has been made. We also need your payment details when you get money back from us.
The invoice contains the following information:

invoice and order number
order content
The invoice is also your purchase and warranty certificate
You can reach us through our social media accounts on twitter, facebook, pinterest and instagram. You can also contact us directly by telephone, mail, letter or the contact form on our website. In order to be able to handle your question or complaint, we use the contact information you provide us. There’s a possibility that we request additional data to make the handling smooth.
If you visit our website or click on a product, you will receive cookies and similar techniques from us. With cookies, we and third parties monitor your surfing behavior on our website, for example the search terms you use and which products you click on. We never share our customer base directly with third parties. You can read more about cookies or adjust your settings here.
To protect your visit on our website we use an SSL connection. You can check that by looking if our url is starting with https://. This means that you are actually on our website (authentication). An SSL connection also ensures encrypted encryption for the security of data that you send to us via your web browser.
You can not log in on our site with your Social Media accounts, but you can find on certain pages social media buttons that are from the social media services themselves. We use these buttons to promote our pages. The buttons that are present through these services contain cookies that we can’t influence. Read therefore also the privacy statement of these social media platforms. There’s also a possibility to display advertisements on these social media platforms based on your interests about our products or offers.
On every product page and/or news pages of our site you may find a so-called photowall of Photoslurp with photos of users of Instagram. These have been collected with given permission through the use of certain hashtags and / or through other forms of agreement (by mail, telephone) in accordance with our social media agreement here. The photos are linked to our products, Photoslurp analyzes the behavior of the visitors anonymously for statistical purposes on a page where a photowall is placed.
We do not share our customer base directly with Social Media services.
Who are the recipients of the personal data
We only share your data with other parties if necessary for our service. This concerns our delivery partners, suppliers, payment partner and our IT service providers. These partners are involved in the execution of the agreement and are not allowed to use the data for purposes other than our own.
- Our delivery partners use your personal data to deliver your order to the correct address.
- Sisow is a Collecting Payment Service Provider (CPSP), which provides payment services such as Mastercard and PayPal for our webshop
- To make your purchase and site experience as pleasant as possible, we work together with an IT service provider. They host and optimize our site.
The parties that gain access to your data may only use these to provide you with a service on our behalf, Mr Maria. Unless they are responsible for obtaining and protecting your data. Some cookie developers have access to the data that cookies collect on our website. You will read more about our cookie statement and the privacy policy of these parties in the cookies section. We never sell or provide your information to third parties without your permission unless we are obliged to do so based on a judgment by law.
Where is it stored?
The personal data you provide will be stored in a database that we use to make our activities known. Our database server is located in the EU and is hosted by our IT service provider.
Retention period
We keep and use your data for as long we are legally obliged. We archive the data after the retention period and then also use the data anonymized for statistical purposes. If this data is no longer needed, we will destroy the data.
In connection with the financial legislation and the tax authorities, we must keep your invoice, payment and order data for 7 years.
If you have registered to our newsletter, we will retain that permission for 5 years. If you decide not to receive it anymore, we will keep the request.
Your rights to see, rectify or erase data
You have the right to object against the processing and inspection of your personal data. Do you want to receive a copy, change, delete your data? Or change your email preferences? Let us know by (post)mail or by e-mail. We may request additional information to confirm your identity.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter or by writing us. If it concerns access to personal data linked to a cookie, you’ve to send a copy of the cookie in question. You can find this in the settings of the internet browser you use.

Mobile terms of service
The Mr Maria Design UK mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by Mr Maria Design UK (“Mr Maria Design UK”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
By consenting to Mr Maria Design UK’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Mr Maria Design UK through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).
You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Mr Maria Design UK. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.
We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.
You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to MrMariaUK or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other Mr Maria Design UK mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Service at any time and will notify you of these changes. The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.
